I have plans to buy a pair of speakers (Energy RC-Mini) with an impedance of 4 ohms minimum 8 ohms nominal. What is this? "I can use it with my Sony stereo receiver with an 8 ohm?

I see no reason why you can not. impedance a speaker varies with frequency, and almost every unit goes under the rated power at some point in the spectrum of frequencies. They're just being more than account as it gives the minimum score, but Sony's should handle without any problem.
