Polk RTi A1 vs Klipsch RB-81?

Does anyone have any experience with any of these speakers? I will build a version of the tube amplifier kit of SE84C Decware. That only 2 watts, but a tube so that the number may be misleading. The Klipsch have a sensitivity of 97dB and Polk's only 89, so the Klipsch have a clear advantage in this situation, (low power). Also any suggestions for speakers in this price range, $ 399 or less, would be appreciated. Noah, in solid or tube amplifiers? Thank you.

Go to your dealer and ask if they can have on testing at home with everyone. Both are large systems - I've heard both and can say that I prefer the Klipsch RB-81 - and with the extension you're using the extra sensitivity will make a significant difference in the volume to be able to achieve. The best way to go is to compare the two in his house with his acoustic and his team. If I was getting a pair of sub $ 400 - would to recommend a pair of used Klipsch Heresys off craigslist. You can find a great pair of $ 300 - and made available to the RTI and RB-81 to shame =) (They are a bit more great though!)
