how to set up a stereo system with a subwoofer thing?
I want to connect my laptop to these two speakers I have, and run through my subwoofer. my computer has a headphone jack. The subwoofer has an RCA input, speaker wire inputs and outputs for left and right, and my speakers only has speaker wire inputs. I think I have all the necessary cables, but do not know how I would connect. I tried to connect my computer to the sub with a mini headphone to RCA, then run speaker wire from the sub to the speakers, but I have no sound.
You need to connect an RCA splitter so two in the front left and right inputs sub, a 'split' is connected to the main speakers and the other 'split' goes to your laptop's headphone jack.
