Home theater receiver .... Best of Yamaha RX-V663, Denon AVR-1908 or Onkyo TX-SR606B ... I 7.2 as an option for Yamaha, but it's the best price for the best spec .... Also for the speakers you have a choice of Polk Audio RM6880, Infinity TSS-500 or Harman / Kardon HKTS14 ... im leaning towards Polk but if anyone can make a strong case against them for the other suggestions ... I'm all ears ...
These are all good receivers so it's a difficult decision. I like Yamaha, Onkyo receivers, but has been impressing everyone for about a year because of all the bells and whistles that get in their receptors at moderate prices. I would like to see in the more subtle features such as auto-calibration, number of spare HDMI and optical inputs, etc and make a choice on the basis of these characteristics. (Note: Yamaha has a better reputation for music so if you plan to do a lot of music - Go with the Yamaha amp section is usually better. Tip: You will be heavier.) The Polk has been the "better some of the" ready for some one years. Since the speakers have "Aroma", if they listen and they like it, buy it.
