Dolby Pro Logic and 5.1 and digital?
I have an older Pioneer receiver with Dolby Prologic. I have 5 speakers and a subwoofer is connected, the cables from the receiver go to the subwoofer and then from there to the front speakers. The center and rear are directly at the receiver. This is not true surround, right? Like 5.1? Is 5.1 better? I would hate to part with the Pioneer, but I want good effects of home theater as a low-rise ... I also have a Sony digital processor if you could some use ... and additional 2-channel amplifier. I am a layman so do not get to technical on me, please:)

This means: - dialogue is center speaker only (no music or sound effects) - the 2 rear speakers reproduce the same exact sound of your subwoofer is to act as your left / right speakers are great full-range speakers with the way it is connected up. is 5.1 better - Yes a little. It has 5 separate speakers sound value, that the effects of heavy films can create a better illusion of surround sound.
