I have read some websites that say something about a active EQ these speakers, I can run through a stereo receiver. I have an older receiver techniques (400), which runs the two I have bose
I'm pretty sure the Bose 901s still have the boxes passive crossovers, and analog EQ is used as a band-aid to compensate for problems with response 901s of 'normal frequency. Personally, the Bose active EQ is nothing special. A decent graphic equalizer 1 / 3 octave or parametric equalizer easily outperform the Bose in terms of functionality.
