What do I need a music system and computer speakers?
My CD / breaks, so they need a new one. Has a receiver Sherwood. And I want new speakers for the team. Have some money to spend for a change. Is the waste receiver and start from scratch, or I can get some great power that is compatible? I was with a Bose, but everyone here talked me out of it. Said to try kliptsch (sp?) Onkyo or Denon. Please help me. They also have 23 " Yamaha stereo speakers.
As audio engineer My rule of thumb is this, all audio is completely subjective. What sounds good to me, may or may not sound good to you. We all hear completely different from others. So take your favorite CDs and go out and listen to various combinations of systems, including receivers, amplifiers and speakers. Do not buy into what other people say it is the "best". He'll be at home. Choose what you want. And always stay within budget. The quality Price is not always the same. As a side note, they generally go with Sony products. They're affordable, and last for many years.
