How do I connect my Bose bookshelf speakers to my computer to my stereo TRUE?

I know you probably have to get a receiver, but after that I need a new sound card or something? The speakers are Bose 201 Series. I just have the onboard sound card right now. Thank you. The speakers use standard speaker wires to connect.

You need a stereo amplifier, at least. (of course: All AV receivers are able to work in stereo mode (all must be able to) would work, too.) You might want to check wheter the sound card has a digital output jacks. Most sound cards on board most recent having at least one of the two. The analog sound cards on board often have very bad quality. (to the extent that-all-that-great Bose speakers could use a better source) In this case you should try to go for some that has a digital amplifier the connector. If your sound card has a digital output can still deal with stereo tracks (which all have a sound card) and use an adapter cable to connect to analog in a receiver. (Which is more likely is that the RCA connectors on the amp ... and everyone should have the amps, too.;))
