Okay, but could do much better for all the same price. For games, the GPU is more important than CPU by a large margin. 90% of those affected time limits framerate in games because of your GPU, not your CPU. Rule of thumb is you should spend 2X graphics card both as a processor as a machine with a CPU for $ 100 and $ 200 graphics card easily exceeds a machine with a CPU for $ 200 and $ 100 graphics card. I would replace the 9600GS with a GeForce 8800GT or Radeon 4850, then choose the best processor can accommodate your budget thereafter.
