Sound off on company computers?
I need a good troubleshooter to help me restore the sound of company computers. Previous chief muted and resources I need, because they do not know how. The utilities say they sound all the sounds right. Internal speakers say committed. What are the other options. No further connected external speakers. This is a couple of great systems from Compaq with Windows XP installed. I can not open drives (belonging to the company) to see if the sound card has been pulled. Any options? Thanks for the help.
Eh .... The only way I know to clear sound through Group Policy is to hide the control panel for it. But you say it is there and the volume is up. If not e-mail and I'll tell turn where they hide out. You need a Domain Admin password. The last time I had to, just the speakers outside the department I was having the problem. If I had full access to your server, they could have just Unplugged. I know, you can not verify this, but the form of hardware would not have could be elegant, but it would have been easy.
