What is the best speaker for music?

I look forward to a good stereo for my room at the university next year and I can not decide what speakers to go with a loud voice that will produce good bass, and not get damaged easily. I was watching a pair of MTX TP112 12 "speakers from around for $ 250/pair. Then I saw some bookshelf speakers by Klipsch RB-51BLA 300/pair. So after looking a bit more I found something good about Sony and Yamaha Speakers shelf for even cheaper. I just want a set that will not fly or get hurt and produced some good bass, so I'm interested in the MTX, but I know if I am overlooking something. Probably going to use a logo or Sony 200W 2.0 channel receiver if that helps everyone. Thank you. I like Harmon / Kardon receiver mentioned, but do you know any place that may be able to find a lower price or perhaps the recipient of a budget more enjoyable with a little more RMS power?
