Can you use speakers low in your audio system?
I've been hearing people say use Peavey speakers that are 8 ohms 350w, 98 dB sensitivity, as a replacement for vehicles audio subwoofers. The main reason for this seems to be the ohms and sensitivity, and appears to be much more cheap. I think another statement you need to get a power amplifier of the instrument, instead of a car audio amplifier, so you can get the most power of the 8-ohms. If anyone can enlighten me on how all this works, I appreciate it very much. Thank you!
Use a 2-channel car amp bridge. That is 4 Ohms for a woofer and 2 ohms for two. However, the speakers may not sound very good, safe power. They are designed very hard due to high transient instruments musical.
