Polk Speakers Bookshelf

Need bookshelf speakers!?

I have a stereo receiver Onkyo TX-8011 and atoms paradigm. The setup is good, but I'm not happy with the sound at times. It is very good at certain tracks, but lacks clarity in others. I understand that atoms are used as rear speakers in your home theater equipment. That's the mistake i did. It has very good bass and brought more in his voice. The music is not very detailed. Treble is bright and not very hard when the volume is put up more than 40%. The drums and guitars sound good but lacks the final details. I just want a pair of speakers for music. It Wharfedale Diamond 9.1 or the Polk RTi4 be better?

Hello. In general, most British speakers are sounding very neutral which means it does not highlight any range of frequencies that are capable of playing. They are able to faithfully reproduce the sound of all musical instruments and all kinds of music from jazz to classical is the sign of a good speaker .. I'm still using a pair of Rogers speakers i purchased in 1984 because I have not heard anything better. They were made in England. The Warfedale Diamond 9.1 are very good speakers. They has a very good review in Stereophile. KEF also make accurate shelf speakers.Other British manufacturers Harbeth, Linn, Lowther, Martin Audio, Mission, Naim Mordaunt-Short, Proac, Spendor and PA. Try listening to some of them if they hear something better than the Wharfedale unless of course you like the sound warfedale. The RTi4 Polk also surprisingly gave a good review in Stereophile. Apparently, the two speakers are noted for their sound quality for a modest price. So comes down to you. You must decide the sound prefer. They speakers are an excellent library, but both have their "sonic signature" that difference. Choose the one that sounds best to your ears. I can say that they are a serious listener. I do not come across many in this section to understand the rules of playing high-fidelity sound. Many of them break all the rules when it comes to putting together your sound system.
