Speakers do work on my CPU through television?

Hi just bought a new CPU. The only problem is there is no sound coming out of speakers through my TV.I have a 50 "Samsung LCD HDTV and Bose speakers. I looked to see how to connect the speakers or generally through this and green wire. Theres no extra holes in the bottom of my Bose speakers, so I plugged the green cable on my TV. Didn't work so I was wondering if someone can tell me how can I connect my surround sound from my TV to work on my CPU too? Also what elements I need? Or you need a new set of speakers only my CPU?

You need to connect the sound card to HDTV by using a stereo mini-to-Dual RCA cable, which looks to this: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16882021057 Plug the mini-stereo audio from your computer sound card-OUT, and plug the two RCA ends red and white of HDTV audio input jacks. Once done, you should be able to get the sound from your computer on your TV's speakers. Oh, and I hope you are doing right to use a DVI to HDMI cable to transmit video from your computer to your LCD HDTV. Hope this helps.
